Carer & Volunteer Organisations
Attend aims to put volunteering at the heart of health and social care. It provides a range of services to voluntary organisations and carers. For instance, this website is hosted by their Site Seed project. It also aims to be a linking point for Leagues of Friends across the country.
Devon Carers Link hosts Estuary’s Take a Break scheme. Their website has lots of other useful information for carers, including opportunities for training and group events, as well as further useful links for emotional support and links to Devon-based and national charities and organisations.
Exeter CVS helps volunteers to find suitable opportunities for their needs and abilities, as well as providing opportunities for links between the public and private sectors to promote a better, more caring society.
Living Options Devon is a user-led organisation which exists to ensure people with physical and/or sensory disabilities and Deaf people with sign language can make an active and equal contribution in society
Just Ask brings together all Community Transport schemes across Devon under one directory, making them easy to find for your local area. If Estuary League of Friends doesn’t cover your doctor’s surgery or town, you can access the Just Ask website or call the team at DCC on 01392 382123, who will be able to point you in the right direction.
