Each week, our dedicated army of volunteer drivers take between forty and fifty local people to appointments - whether at the doctor's, hospital or clinic, or the hairdressers', or even to get their shopping. It's a service that our clients value highly; the drivers show them kindness, patience and helpfulness that makes a real difference in addition to the practical matter of getting from A to B and back again.

We encourage our transport clients to contribute towards costs, as it's expensive to run - but we don't turn people away who can't afford to do so. Access to the service is normally by a referral from the GP, Social Worker or Care Manager. If you would like more information please call Mary Hutchings, our Volunteer Co-ordinator.
